Find out about healthy eating the Bibimbap way! After a brief talk, the Bibimbap Backpackers will provide a cooking demonstration and everyone will get to make and eat their own bibimbap bowl!
POP Pilates (6/20/16 & 7/18/16)
POP Pilates is a fusion class of ab-chiseling, total-body-defining moves choreographed to everyone’s favorite Top 40 hits. The intense, mat-based workout is for people of all ages and fitness levels—challenging students to flow from one exercise to the next while developing a solid core and lean, strong muscles in the process.

Studies show that the act of coloring helps us de-stress. Coloring increases wellness, stimulates the mind, and unleashes creativity.

An evening with Master Chef Contestant, Adeliz Garcia. Adeliz will show us how she changed the way she cooked to give her family delicious, healthier alternatives.

Documentary: The Fruit Hunters (7/18/17)
Fruits as we know them today are far removed from their wild origins. They’ve been cultivated and refined for thousands of years, inseparable from human history and culture. Wars have been fought over them, nations have been built on them. The story of fruit is the story of humanity, and by following people for whom it is a life-consuming obsession, we can learn not just about the natural world, but ourselves.

REEL Film Club
“High Style: Betsy Bloomingdale & The Haute Couture’” (9/21/17)
FIDM Museum produced a documentary in 2009 (running time 47 minutes) coinciding with an exhibition honoring Betsy Bloomingdale, who has given a large donation of haute couture over the years. The film includes interviews with her covering her thoughts about fashion, as well as interviews with her favorite designers, and corresponds to an exhibition mounted the same year (Betsy Bloomingdale and the Haute Couture). Christina Johnson will discuss the film and her job as associate curator for the museum.
Agatha Christie (10/19/17)
Actor David Suchet (Poirot) has spent more of his life acting out the plots & dramas created by Agatha Christie than anyone else in the world. In this documentary, he explores the author's legacy.

Drop-in to the Central Library today to "Experience Virtual Reality" with the library's Oculus Rift. Sign up at the library for a 15 minute session. Space is limited! Patrons ages 13-17 must have a signed waiver by a parent and/or guardian. Sign ups and waivers are available at the library.
